GP2.0 Priorities

GP2.0 is about partnership. It is an informal community of experts which provides a space for joint initiatives, events, research, exchanges of information, and good practices on internal displacement.

GP2.0 intends to maintain the momentum of multi-stakeholder action and collaboration generated during the GP20 Plan of Action. The central focus of its work will be to promote cooperative approaches and identify, disseminate and advance good practices, building on the landmark GP20 Compilation of National Practices

The good practices highlighted in that report included prioritizing context-specific and culturally sensitive engagement with communities affected by displacement; participatory approaches to data collection and sharing; adaptive and conflict-sensitive processes of local integration, return and resettlement; as well as locally and nationally driven responses.

In 2022, GP2.0 will continue to focus on knowledge-sharing, through its online platform, and will launch an e-learning tool on durable solutions. It will maintain its regular meetings and exchanges that bring together peers and experts from displacement-affected states, and it will concentrate on the implementation of the provisions of the UN SG Action Agenda on Internal Displacement.
