National Instruments on Internal Displacement – A Guide to their Development

Internal displacement shatters lives, threatens the wellbeing and functioning of communities, and often affects countries as a whole. Rebuilding lives and communities usually takes years. Governments bear the primary responsibility for their internally displaced citizens, but without national laws and policies on the issue they are challenged to fulfill their role.
